Dr. Fiona Te Momo lectures in Massey University Albany Campus, Auckland, New Zealand. An expert in Māori volunteerism, community development and development studies, she previously served on local and national boards representing social, political and economic interest that support the development of Māori communities. Her past research experience covered a range of areas: Māori approaches to marine management systems; Māori student retention and recruitment at university; not-for-profit management; Māori voluntary organisations; sustainable development; Māori economic development; capacity building on Marae; Māori land incorporated blocks; state-owned enterprises and hydro dams; Māori research and development; critical theory and Māori; Māori Third Way; and the social, cultural and religious/spiritual dimensions of biotechnology for Mäori.
